A Face Off between artists at the gallery le K-o
Face to face, is the title of the exhibition that the gallery K-o is holding until September 16th. This exhibition gathers the recent works of Philippe Cam, Anne Bothuon, Emma Forestier, Catherine Cloup and Wanda Skonieczny, as well as the works of the artists who exhibit here regularly : Kathy Diascorn, Jacqueline Trielen, Jean-Michel Corre, Gaël Bourumeau, Jérôme Durand...
Michel Guinot, the gallery owner, is also showing his works, a work in shadows and varying lights on bodies.
Emma Forestier proposes her drawings of dissected bodies. "I regularly go to the laboratory of anatomy of the Faculty of Medicine in Brest. I make on the spot drawings there" she says.
Philippe Cam is showing his paintings and drawings without titles "so as not to force viewers into a single direction or a single sense. I chose a classic subject, the bouquet of flowers and the emotion which it arouses. Of course, the seriousness is questioned, we find the ironic tone which I like putting in my works," he says.
Anne Bothuon, for whom it is her first exhibition in Brittany, is a painter, sculptor and master costume designer. She is exhibiting characters made by absorbent cotton, by coloured threads, looking like cut-away diagrams.
Kathy Diascorn proposes her work around the photographic image.
Running until 16th September, every day from 2 pm till 7 pm, Gallery K-o. Free entry.
