Moving To Huelgoat Empty Moving To Huelgoat

We are in our mid 40's and looking to move to the area and buying a property with a couple of gites with land to perhaps offer camping for a few tents. We have two children one is in Primary school (age 7 and one in High School (age 13). Are there schools in the area or will the children have to travel a distance for schooling? Are there any other English families in the area who could provide information on how easy they found it to integrate? We are also considering doing TEFL courses, would this be a benefit? I notice that there seems to be a lot of cyclists visit the area and another option that we are considering is perhaps offering guided cycling routes, do you think that there will be a demand for this? If anybody could provide information on the facilities in Huelgoat that would be excellent, thank you.

There's a primary school and a high school in Huelgoat. There's also a bus to the sixth form colleges (lycée) in Morlaix and Carhaix.

Good luck with your business plans. Remember Huelgoat is quite a sleepy place and it's relatively hard to get by in the tourist industry out of season. I don't want to sound pessimistic and put you off as you have some great ideas. You will need to speak/learn to speak French to get integrated though. Otherwise it's dreaded ex-pat community only which would mean you'd miss out on so much.

Good luck with the move.
