French speaking group?
Hello
We have just moved to the area, and we've heard there's a local group with French and English members who want to improve their skills by speaking the other language. Is this right, and if so, can anyone let me have some details or contacts?
Thank you!

Re: French speaking group?
Hi there!
Yes, there's a group called Babel
Unless details have changed recently the one at Huelgoat meets on Tuesday afternoons at 2pm. They are a friendly bunch and welcome new people.
Babel or Bable (as in the tower of Babel from the Bible and sounding like to "babble" on) was started in Plouyé near Huelgoat by a lady of American origin. With her agreement to use the name we went on to start a group in Plestin les gréves(22) since then other groups have started. BABLE means" British And Bretons Learning Ensemble". The original idea has moved on because they realised that they needed a proper teacher. They now have a separate evening for beginners because they say "we just were not giving them the time and space to learn in a relaxed environment". Fees are minimal
.
Hope that helps... It's the info I'v found about them on the net and I've heard it's a good start. You'll see if you need something different after going.
